Frequently Asked Questions
-
Chainstitch embroidery is an embroidery technique that uses looped stitches to form a chain. In our case, we use a Singer 114w103 industrial sewing machine from 1900 to do this.
Because this kind of embroidery is done by hand, each piece is unique. This is unlike computerized embroidery, which is uniform from piece to piece.

The short answer is yes, but we also recommend hand-washing on cold and air-drying the item. Do not bleach or iron directly on the chainstitched portion.
-
Chainstitched items are not returnable. If there is an issue with your embroidery, we will happily repair it for you. Keep in mind that although there is a machine involved, chain stitch is still very much human-made, and imperfections are normal and part of the charm!
